Overview

AustinIPA is proud to present Persian Language and Cultural Connections (PLCC) educational program!

This program is designed to enhance children’s Persian language skills, foster their cultural identity, and cultivate character development through interactive and engaging activities. It also provides a wonderful opportunity for children to build lasting friendships with other Persian speakers and practice the language in a fun and supportive environment with their peers.

For families seeking to nurture their children’s Persian language and cultural heritage, this program offers a unique and enriching experience. Designed, developed and led by experienced educators, it blends a deep understanding of child development with innovative teaching methods. This program provides a high-quality learning opportunity for all children and their families who wish to connect with the beauty and richness of the Persian language and culture.

What to Expect

Children will learn Persian (speaking, reading, and writing) through engaging activities such as games, storytelling, art, and hands-on projects. Activities include exploring Persian folklore, creative painting, dramatic workshops (role-playing), and building projects, fostering language skills, cultural pride, and teamwork.

Facilitators and Expertise

Our programs are led by experienced educators with a proven track record in child development, innovative teaching, and cultural preservation:

Lead Instructor *

With over 12 years of experience in PreK-12 education, our lead instructor specializes in social and emotional learning, Philosophy for Children (P4C), art, creativity, and problem-solving. They possess extensive expertise in designing and implementing innovative workshops and educational tools to foster critical thinking and emotional intelligence in children. Our instructor also has a proven track record of impactful teaching and curriculum development in both Iran and the United States, effectively bridging cultural and educational practices.

Advisor *

Our educational program advisors generally bring a strong background in educational psychology, with a focus on how people learn and develop. They have extensive experience—often over a decade—in designing and implementing effective educational programs.

Our advisors specialize in understanding developmental psychology and social-emotional learning, and they have a keen ability to foster positive relationships between teachers and students. Their goal is to create supportive and effective learning environments. They also contribute to research and evaluation initiatives that help improve leadership and student outcomes in educational settings.

Our Journey Together

We are so excited to share that we now have 16 wonderful students learning with us! 🌟

These children are continuing their Farsi adventure, growing their language skills week by week. 🪄✨

At the moment, we are not adding new students because our current group is moving forward together. 💬📖

✨ Seats always fill quickly, so being on the reservation list ensures you’ll be the first to hear when new registration opens!

Program Highlights:

  • Two 45-minute learning segments per session

  • A 15-minute break between sessions with small snacks 

  • Small class sizes (maximum 8 students per group)

  • Sequential curriculum for ongoing growth
